I met Jess at 7amish at JFK. We took a shuttle to our hotel and were starving. Solution: an omelette and NY bagel.
We were also exhausted, but our room wasn't going to be ready til 3pm. Solution: sleep in the lounge til 2:30. Our room was really nice and had really comfy beds when we did eventually check in.
I love soft pretzels.
The Burger Joint at Le Parker Meridien came highly recommended by native New Yorker Mishelle. There was a long line, but it was pretty amazing!
Steps at Times Square. This is the beginning of many awkward solo shots.
Grand Central Station
We tried to wake up early to see the Black Eyed Peas perform on The Today Show. That didn't happen, but we got to see the clean up.
Rockefeller Center...wish we had started watching 30 Rock earlier!
Delicious Eggplant Panini

street performers in front of The Met
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Day 2 and I was already risking my life crossing streets.
I ran across and had to wait for them on the other side.
Bubble Battle in Times Square. Jacy came up from DC to meet us and read about this in TimeOut. It sounded interesting, so we decided to check it out.
We also made some new friends.
There were a lot of bubbles.
This kid was making giant ones.
Ours were smaller, but still fun!
Lots of people.
Another giant.
Jess is a naughty kid.
Ok we took a lot of pics...it was so fun! Can you blame us?
It turns out this girl and I have a mutual friend she went to college with and I used to play volleyball with. Small world!
hmm
Tons of Bubbles.
Some shots with the NYE ball that is still up in June.
Aftermath
This guy asked us to sign his shirt so we did. And took a pic of course.
Times Square Olive Garden for dinner. Super touristy, but there's no Olive Garden in Hawaii!
Walking to the Subway
Blending in with the locals

Hookah Bar
Ran into Ryu on the streets of the Lower Eastside...so random! Haven't seen this guy since Junior year of college!
We went shopping the next day. I wanted to buy these shoes so bad, but took a pic and chose more practical ones instead.
Billy joined us!
We all bought A LOT of shoes.
Ground Zero
Billy is darker than me :/

Reunited and it feels so gooooood.
I don't know
The place was pretty trippy.
We were all really excited to see each other which means lots of photos.
Met up with Jacy's friend Lori who also went to Punahou (small world again!)
Double Crown--our 2nd super secret club/bar of the night. I guess you have to push the wall in to get there.
I think we ate somewhere between 3-5 slices of Pizza each...that's what happens when you don't eat dinner and you go on a mission to try every pizza place on the block.
at least they were cheap
I enjoyed the first slice.
How awesome is this store?! I didn't even think to check what they sell??
The 2nd slice was still pretty good.
I think we were pretty over it after the 2nd slice, but people bought us more so we couldn't turn it down.
We took the subway back and ran into these Australians outside of our hotel.
They were looking for a rock club? There was a club downstairs raging til 4am, but it was mostly old people and there was no rock music playing.
sleep, finally.
xx
