Amsterdam

We got into Amsterdam bright and early because our flight left from Barcelona at 6:30am. I'm pretty sure I slept the ENTIRE flight. We still needed to nap a little when we got in before we felt rested enough to take on the city.

RIP MJ. The news had just broken the night before and it was all over the papers.
**thanks to dbd@rainbow-media.com for the breaking news update

After our 2 hour nap. Catching the train to Amsterdam Central
.
We had tickets for the canal boat ride tour, but ended up walking most of the day.
Cruising down the canal.

Some well-known bridge...forget the story/name.

We tried to get a closer shot with the Jennifer restaurant sign, but there was a glare.
Getting close to the infamous Red Light District...

And they had the funniest shirts.

This is what at least one wall of every store looked like.

Policemen on horseback were hotter in Spain.

We saw a ton of people crowding around this place, then realized they EXCLUSIVELY sold french fries...heaven!

Pancake with strawberries and whipped cream...we walked across town to get this.

Page's dish was amazing...Poffertjes with the same toppings.

Great idea #1,847 formed on this trip: bachelorette party in Amsterdam!

I had to get the fries one more time before I left. This time with Mayo like the locals do. The lady taking my order didn't even really give me an option so I just went with it.
It was actually really good...and healthy I'm sure ;)
Carbonated Iced tea? Not too sure if I'd order this again...

Demonstrating my hobs skills by setting up a comfy little "bed" for the train ride to The Hague.
And school started the next day. Stay tuned to see if this will be the end of sightseeing and the start of studying.
